When John D. Rockefeller selected the site where he would later build the Williamsburg Inn, he chose a location which ensured plenty of space for golf.
Today the Williamsburg Inn is one of the favorite destinations for golfers on the East Coast, boasting two 18-hole championship courses and a nine-hole executive course.
The signature Golden Horseshoe Gold Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.
When Colonial Williamsburg opened its second championship course in 1991, the Golden Horseshoe Green Course was designed by Jones Sr.'s son, Rees Jones.
Play from $65 per person.
